Toile de Jouy wallpaper origin comes from „toile“ fabric, hung on historical walls of castles throughout France. The fabric originated from Jouy, France in the 18th century and usually had two-toned line illustrations. While design trends come and go, “toile” has remained timeless throughout history. From jungles to urban abodes, this famous wallpaper pattern can make its way into any home. Our toile designs are specially hand drawn, inspired by African safaris and jungles.
