How to clean non-woven wallpaper?
Non-woven wallpaper is made from a blend of synthetic and natural fibers. The material is highly durable, tear-resistant, and easy to maintain and gently clean. Additionally, non-woven wallpaper is easy to install and remove. It is breathable, which reduces the risk of mold growth and contributes to better indoor air quality. Nevertheless, non-woven wallpaper is not 100% waterproof!
Regular cleaning
- Non-woven wallpaper can be easily cleaned with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust.
- If desired, use a dusting brush or a vacuum cleaner with a soft brush attachment. Operate it at low power to avoid damaging the wallpaper.
Light stains and dirt
- If the wallpaper gets dirty, lightly clean the affected areas with a soft, damp cloth. It’s important to act quickly if a stain appears on the wallpaper.
- Use lukewarm water and, if necessary, a mild detergent that does not contain abrasive substances or strong chemicals.
- Avoid rubbing or scraping the wallpaper too hard, as this can damage the surface.
- Be cautious when cleaning around the wallpaper seams, as the edges might loosen and require re-gluing later.
